SensiDog
SensiDog is a wearable that allows you to better interact with your dog, as far as their immediate health needs. The wearable tracks water intake, steps and temperature. The collar itself displays realtime health information as well as an app for smartphone connectivity.
I focused on creating a real time temperature reader for the SesiDog collar, as we hear in the news dogs lives are being put at risk or resulting in death due to heat exhaustion and hypothermia, from being kept in non-suitable conditions.
Problem Space: there are currently many options for dog owners to keep track of their pets wellbeing, yet some can be overwhelming with information lack the three key over arching principles that SensiDog was designed around Humane, Intuitive and Comforting

lo-fi screen prototype
Above included lo-fi prototyping screens for the app to go along with the wearable. This included prototyping and user testing with fellow peers with pets. This allowed me to better understand what a variety of people were looking for and wanted to simplify in the experience.

User testing on Luna. She didn't seem to mind a larger front device on her collar, with some adjustments taken note of if I were able to create a real interface and wearable.

key feature of temperature sensor
SensiDog wearable monitors your dog's body temperature with real time updates to any changes. If your dog's temperature goes below or exceeds average range
(37.2°C - 39.2°C)
SensiDog alerts you via app as well as illuminating in flashing RED or BLUE, accompanied by a loud alarm, so that no matter where your dog is, you or anyone around will know your dog is in distress.
